Nothing like "my people's" way of doing things!!! I'm glad you're in and ok so far!
An exciting chapter to what will be a great book. You are blessed to have such a great experience......makes life worth living, don't it?!!! Good luck my friend, and be careful. -Gary
I wish I could remember the quote from "Snatch" but it goes along the lines of 'never underestimate the predictability of stupidity'. It seems prudent to me to learn the laws of the 3rd world country you are traveling to before you get there. Just a suggestion.
Hey Amigo, it sounds like you're making lots of new friends and working the system...Good Luck seems to be following you, so the race should be a synch. Fair winds and following seas as they say in the Navy; but in your case fair winds and a good dust track behind you as your car speeds thru the race course!!! R3
What a pleasure it was to meet you let alone spend a week breaking every law known to Mexico and then some. As a race car driver I really enjoyed watching you guys perform and your driveing wasn't bad either. LOL. Seriously, you guys and your car rocked.
Remember, what goes on with the donkeys stays in Mexico.
I posted a little something about you on my blog so take a peek when you have time.
La Carrera Panamericana has a glorious race history. Porsche has named two of their cars after the race, the Porsche Carrera and 2008's Panamera and TAG Heur continues to produce the Carrera watch in honor of the race. Some of the greatest names in auto racing- Carroll Shelby, Phil Hill, Juan Manuel Fangio, Mickey Thompson- all raced the Panamericana.
